We came across this definition of beauty and thought it would be ideal to share with you!
In 1913, Webster’s dictionary defined beauty as “properties pleasing the eye, the ear, the intellect, the aesthetic faculty or the moral sense”.
Today’s definition of beauty, as described by Webster today “the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit.”
The moral sense to me equated to some sense of good, of respect and of doing what’s right! It reminded me of the values my mother rasied me on.
Have we dropped the moral sense from not only the definition of beauty, have we dropped it from our lives?
